FAQ'S

What’s the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

A dietitian is a university qualified health professional who has completed a minimum 4 year degree and is recognised by the government to be an expert in the field of nutrition. While every dietitian is a nutritionist by default, not every nutritionist is a dietitian and the term ‘nutritionist’ is not protected. This means anyone could call themselves a nutritionist without any formal training. An APD (accredited practising dietitian) is a dietitian who continues to complete a minimum of 30 hours of professional development each year to remain up to date with the most relevant advancements in health and nutrition. All of our guides have been written by APD’s.
